About the manufacturer

UNIVER is one of Italy's largest manufacturers of industrial automation components. The company was founded in 1971 and started its activities in the automation field when it developed and manufactured the first series of pneumatic valves and disc valves for vacuum in 1973. M series standard microcylinders for the food and pharmaceutical industry, KL series cylinders with a new profile design for easier cleaning, KE series with a new design, KD series for heavy duty applications, K series in a wide range of diameters. Rotary encoders

Angle encoders are electrical information machines, designed to work in counting and resolving systems to produce a defined output voltage range in linear relationship to the rotor angle.

 

Rotary transformers and resolvers

Rotary transformers are designed to produce an alternating voltage which is a function of the rotor angle α. This voltage must be proportional to sin α, cos α or the angle α itself. Depending on this, the types of rotary transformers are divided into sine, cosine, sine-cosine or linear. Resolvers: Singlsyn - proprietary brand for VR series resolvers; Smartsyn - brushless resolver based on innovative winding techniques; FA-SOLVER® - brushless resolvers/brushless synchronous resolvers. Synchro - a type of rotary electrical transformer; LVDT - linear variable differential transformer.

 

Control systems, intelligent sensor technology

Smartcoder series is an IC for real-time conversion of analogue resolver signals into digital absolute position signals, and is used for rotary angle detection in combination with Smartsyn and Singlsyn converters. Applications include robots, machine tools, vehicles and aircraft. The range of level control systems include: Position or angle detectors, display units, high accuracy limit switches, gate detectors, signal conditioners, etc. Smartcam absolute positioning systems - contains high accuracy, high resolution brushless resolvers or transducers, which, when coupled with a variety of transducers, allow the implementation of single-turn and multi-turn systems compatible with higher level applications such as programmable controllers, sequencers, etc. SmartCoder - resolvers/digital converters; water control systems; positioning systems Ⅰ (Synchro, Encoder, SynchroCam); positioning systems Ⅱ (SmartCam).

Servo motors

The manufacturer offers several series of AC servomotors with built-in high-precision resonators. The TBL-i II series is available as a compact series with flange sizes from 40 mm to 80 mm and as a large series with flanges from 100 mm to 220 mm. The motors of this series can be equipped with gearbox or brake and are used in multi-axis robots, packaging and medical equipment. Stepper motors

The rotation speed of stepper motors is dependent on the pulse frequency and angle of rotation and is determined by the number of pulses. The pulses allow the system to operate in an open control loop, i.e. it requires no feedback. On the other hand, the pitch block angle is determined by the mechanical construction of the stator and rotor. Stepper motors are also referred to as pulse motors.
