Hahn Gasfedern GmbH, a German company founded in 1960, is the market leader in the development and production of gas compression springs, extension springs, double travel gas springs, locking gas springs and oil springs. The company develops and manufactures innovative products, using its many years of experience, a lot of know-how and patents, and state-of-the-art machinery, which is operated by a highly qualified staff of 180 employees.
Hahn Gasfedern was founded by Günter Hahn on 1 October 1960 in Esslingen and began its activities by producing precision turning components, but just six years later Günter Hahn is already awarded its first contract for the production of gas springs for the furniture industry. Further the product range grew steadily and in 1974 the company was already producing gas springs for Neoplan, Roto Frank and Deutz. In 1988 the company starts manufacturing the world's first stainless gas springs for the yachting industry. In 1999, the company is certified in accordance with DIN ISO 9001: 2000. In 2013, Hahn Gasfedern becomes part of the SKF Group and is certified under DIN ISO 14001: 2009.
