Shock absorbers

ACE shock absorbers have been successfully tested and proven as a low cost alternative to standard shock absorbers as a method of protection against accidental stops. They are designed for intermittent applications and mainly laid down in the machine design to provide reliable protection against accidental stops. ACE shock absorbers are maintenance-free and completely ready for installation and the renowned top quality and maximum shock absorption of all ACE products ensure reliable operation over a long period.

 

Miniature shock absorbers

The repeatedly tested and proven ACE miniature shock absorbers are used in millions of industrial applications worldwide. They are designed to optimise the operation of machinery by moving loads with the required speed and without undesired kickback. ACE miniature shock absorbers are maintenance-free and can be easily integrated into all types of industrial plants; some models are also designed for direct installation into pneumatic cylinders.

 

Heavy duty industrial shock absorbers

ACE heavy duty industrial shock absorbers are among the best solutions in shock absorber technology. The range offers a choice of self-compensating and adjustable components. Regardless of the type, shock absorbers are impressive due to their power and high operational availability in any situation where heavy loads need to be stopped immediately and correctly at a predetermined point. The CA4 shock absorber models are capable of absorbing up to 126500 Nm of energy and operate over a wide effective load range.

Industrial gas springs - push type

When loads need to be lifted or lowered in a controlled manner and without excessive force, industrial gas springs of the pusher type from the manufacturer ACE are widely used. This type of gas springs are maintenance-free and fully prepared for installation and ensure reliable opening and locking. The ACE industrial gas pusher spring range is available in diameters from 8 to 70 mm and 10 to 13,000 N with a long service life. A wide range of connection options and fittings are also available for easy connection. All ACE products are manufactured exclusively from high quality materials.

 

Industrial gas springs - traction type

If ACE industrial gas springs cannot be used due to lack of installation space, we offer a range of compact traction type gas springs with diameters from 15 to 40 mm that ensure effective traction. Their working principle is the opposite of that of the gas springs of the push type: the gas pressure inside the cylinder draws the piston and when closing the valve, for example, the hand forces are supported by the compression springs. ACE gas springs are independent elements, maintenance-free and equipped with a standard type valve, with which the gas pressure can be adjusted individually.

 

Hydraulic dampers

Hydraulic dampers are superficially similar to the ACE industrial gas springs, but are set in the end position and work according to a different operating principle. They are equipped with individual speed controllers for thrust and pushing forces, in order to guarantee maximum flexibility and a wide range of applications. Hydraulic dampers are used as motor compensators or safety elements, whereby the compression and expansion speed can always be set very precisely, and both directions of movement can be controlled and synchronised, compensating for swivel forces.

 

Door dampers

The ACE product range includes high-performance and long-life door dampers for protecting lift door elements and other automatic and manually operated doors against accidental contact. Single-ended and double-ended dampers are characterised by their great adjustability and a maximum absorbed energy of 75 to 190 Nm per cycle. The damping force is adjusted independently for each side and ACE door dampers are capable of up to 10 impacts per minute, with an impact on door opening/closing speed ranging from 0.1 to 2 ms.

 

Rotary Dampers

ACE rotary dampers allow controlled damping of rotating or linear motion, are very easy to integrate into existing systems and are maintenance-free. They are often used to gently open and close small lids, compartments and drawers, protecting sensitive components and contributing to product quality. The continuous movement and limited rotation angles of the small dampers in this series contribute to a harmonious, gentle movement. ACE rotary dampers can be used for most applications and are available in adjustable versions with brake torques ranging from 0.05 Ncm to 40 Nm.

 

Safety Dampers

ACE's successful Tubus range of safety springs is used in situations where an emergency stop, overload protection or travel limitation is required. Several versions are available, including those for demanding applications and crane installations. ACE safety dampers, made from a highly impact-absorbing polyester elastomer, are excellent for gradual lowering of loads or for use in near-extreme environments where other materials fail or are not able to provide the same long service life (up to one million cycles).

 

Profile dampers

ACE's Tubus range of profile dampers is the ideal choice for applications where loads do not need to be lowered to a predetermined exact position. There are over 140 different types of dampers available, some of them designed for extreme conditions. ACE profile dampers are also recommended for use in situations where space is at a premium, they are affordable, compact in size and absorb energy, exhibiting varying performance characteristics depending on the design.

Damping pads

ACE's damping pads in the SLAB range are effective at reducing the load on surfaces large and small, so they can be used for almost any application where vibration occurs or damage to equipment with a large surface area needs to be reduced. ACE damping pads are available in all sizes and absorb static loads from 3 to 30 N/cm2 , and can be cut to two dimensions or cast to order. Damping pads ACE maintain their properties in the temperature range from -5C to +50C.

 

Vibration isolation pads

ACE vibration isolation pads SLAB, CEL and PAD series offer the best isolation properties and are suitable for any application. ACE guarantees the effectiveness of its range of vibration isolation pads and offers customization of sizes to suit customer requirements. The SLAB pads are manufactured from polyurethane material using patented technologies. The low-frequency vibration isolation pads in the CEL range are made of nitrile rubber and are applied in several layers if necessary. PAD blocks in textile and elastomer are assembled in layers to give additional force to absorb loads.

 

Hydraulic feed control

ACE's hydraulic feed control is recommended as the ideal solution for situations where sawing, cutting or drilling operations are required and to prevent sudden interrupted movements that can result from the use of pneumatic cylinders. The speed can be fine-tuned from 12mm/min with an extremely low feed rate to 38mm/min with an increase in feed rate. The hydraulic feed control is a fully self-contained component, requires no maintenance and is fully prepared for installation.

 

Clamping elements

The ACE clamping elements of the Locked series are designed to enhance safety and provide a firm, controlled, linear and rotational clamping in many applications. In addition to the ACE clamping element models designed for standard rail, piston or rotary systems, the range also includes special clamping elements that provide safety for Z-axes and lock them in place thoroughly by means of gravity loads. There are variants that can be fitted to pneumatic and electric systems. ACE clamping elements are compatible with the equipment of all standardised manufacturers.

 

Low frequency pneumatic leveling clamps

In the PLM and PAL series, ACE boasts low-frequency pneumatic leveling fasteners that contain and protect high performance and precision equipment from vibration, negative impact and peak loads. The pneumatic leveling mounts do an excellent job of isolating machines due to their low internal frequency of 3 Hz. The ratio of horizontal natural frequency to vertical frequency is 1:1, guaranteeing good horizontal stability and a long service life.

Safety shock absorbers

During braking, the piston rod is driven into the shock absorber. The hydraulic oil, in front of the piston rod, is forced through a number of bypass holes. The number of bypass holes in action decreases in proportion to the distance travelled per stroke. The impact velocity of the moving load decreases smoothly. The internal pressure and thus the reaction force remain virtually constant throughout the entire stroke. To separate the hydraulic systems from the gas accumulator, a diaphragm for the SCS range and a piston separator for the CB range are used.

 

TUBUS profile shock absorbers

The unique casing structure enables outstanding performance. The following series are available: TA, TS, TR, TR-L, TR-H. For these damping elements made of a special polyester elastomer, the change in structure during the manufacturing process creates certain initial loads which ensure that the TUBUS converts the friction force into heat in the process. The unique casing structure achieves outstanding performance. TA-series: top-down characteristic with maximum energy absorption at minimum pitch. Energy absorption: 40% to 66% TS-series: Low-responsive linear characteristic with short operating cycle. Energy absorption: 26% to 56%. TR / TR-L / TR-H series: Progressive characteristic with gradually increasing reaction force over a long stroke. TR Series Energy Absorption: 17% to 35% TR-L Series Energy Absorption: 14% to 26% TR-H Series Energy Absorption: 39% to 50%

 

SLAB damping plates

The two D and F Series from ACE offer a range of optimal solutions for damping the full range of vibrations and effectively reducing structure-borne sound. The material used in the D-series incorporates a proprietary formula and has been developed specifically for shock absorption. SLAB's F series damping plates are used in vibration isolation applications, such as machine tools and textile machinery, and help to avoid production downtime and detrimental effects on product quality.

 

Industrial shock absorbers

ACE industrial shock absorbers are designed for heavy loads and harsh working conditions. Their task is to ensure an even speed for the loads being handled and to distribute the load. As a result, they guarantee the lowest possible braking forces and the shortest possible braking times. The Magnum range from the manufacturer ACE is considered the industry standard for medium-sized shock absorbers. Innovations such as diaphragm-type accumulators, seals, tube-type internal pressure chambers, etc. serve to prolong the lifespan of ACE industrial shock absorbers. The range also offers accessories for these and other series of shock absorbers.

DVC-32 hydraulic speed/flow controller

When designing the DVC, the adjustment elements can be configured separately for individual forward and reverse speeds. This adjustment can be made at installation and even during the working stroke. Turn the adjustment knob to the right - speed is reduced, to the left - speed is increased. Once the regulator is installed, it can be locked, which is ensured by a fixing screw. The standard version has two controls configured for individual damping in forward and reverse stroke.
